Meadows Psychology Service have loved celebrating #FosteringMoments as part of Foster Care Fortnight!

We are privileged to work with so many amazing Foster Families every day. Their support and dedication to the children in their care is remarkable. 

It’s been humbling to reflect as a team on some of our own favourite #FosteringMoments this Foster Care Fortnight.

We regularly provide Foundations for Attachment and Nurturing Attachments training courses for Foster Carers, and this fortnight has been no different! The MPS Our Safe Space team is currently in the midst of delivering both courses in Wigan Council. We love delivering these courses because we really get to know the Carers and there is such a sense of support and empowerment.

We also had the pleasure of attending Wigan Council’s Annual Celebration event for Foster Carers. It was amazing to see all the foster families being celebrated. A particular highlight was seeing our Nurturing Attachments training group of Carers all sat together on the same table having a great time! We love to see how our courses can really establish additional support networks for the carers that attend.

We had a busy day in Hereford as we welcomed Foster Carers and staff to the new Safe Connections office. We had some lovely conversations, at lots of homemade cakes and enjoyed some Theraplay activities!

On a final note, a Foster Carer shared their #FosteringMoments with us and we were so honoured that they chose to talk about our therapists in the Safe Connections service…we’re extremely proud of the relationships between Carers and our team.
